This is us.

Lisa, owner and creator of Mr. Fox Accessories; and Cowboy, product tester, model and muse.

I grew up with the sound of a sewing machine buzzing in my ears. My grandmother was a professional seamstress, I remember as a little girl sitting with her and hand sew clothes for my dolls from her old fabric cut-offs while she worked. My mother has also always been a passionate sewer, and helped me with my further sewing attempts. But I neglected this hobby for several years, until my dog Cowboy came into my life in 2016

Cowboy is a foxred Labrador and I quickly became obsessed with everything and anything fox! His very first toy was a stuffed fox that we called Mr. Fox. One day I walked past a fabric store and saw a cute woven tape with foxes on it. An idea came to my mind; wouldn't it be the cutest, if my little fox Cowboy wore a fox collar and leash? I went in, bought the fox tape and dug out my Mom’s old sewing machine.

I made several more collars and leashes, and then added matching bandanas and bow ties. When I posted a few pictures of Cowboy in his new accessories on his Instagram account, I received a lot of positive feedback and requests from other dog owners.

It took several months, a ton of different product prototypes and testing, and a lot of persuasion from sweet friends, until I decided to take the next step and start selling my products in October 2017.

Hence, Mr. Fox Accessories was born. The fox motif which started everything, can be found in our shop to this day (Fox Festival Collection) and has been our No. 1 Bestseller ever since.
